Met for the first all day meeting today&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;Friday, October 1, will be in Cleveland for a Race to the Top Meeting 5.&lt;span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"&gt;	&lt;/span&gt;Next week will be in Columbus for BASA Conference&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Will be approving the waiver for exemption of BMI requirement&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space: pre; Mr. &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_7"&gt;Stubblebine&lt;/span&gt; volunteered to look into it.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;Board approved the following:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;Financial reports for February 2008&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Minutes of Feb. 19 work session and February 25 regular meeting.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Resolution accepting the rates and amounts as set by the Huron County Budget Commission&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Student accident &amp;amp; sickness insurance for 2008-09 which is voluntary and paid by parents.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Agreement with Lorain Co. Each member received a certificate of appreciation for the time and dedication given to Monroeville Schools. They were also presented a proclamation from the Huron County Commissioners.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Mr. Henry Lasch, a Vietnam Veteran was awarded a High School Diploma by the High School Principal and the President of the Board of Education.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The Sr. Class Ski Trip will be March 5,6,7, 2008 to Seven Springs PA. Mrs. Girton and Treas. Mrs. Ammanniti.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;A hearing was held on the tax budget for fiscal year 2009 at 5:00 pm.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The meeting was called to order by President Pro-tem Stephen Reer at 5:15 pm.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Mrs. Adelman and Mrs. Reed were given the oath of office, having been re-elected to office.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Mrs. Sandra Lonz was nominated and elected as President of the Board.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Mr. Stephen Reer was nominated and elected as Vice-President of the Board.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Both were given the oath of office for those positions.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Meetings were set for the 4th Monday of each month at 7:30 pm.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Salary for the Treasurer was set at $49,650 for 2008.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The following annual resolutions were approved:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;ol&gt;&lt;li&gt;Board Service Fund set at $1,400&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Set Board member compensation at $125 per meeting not to exceed 15 meetings per year, and authorize the Treasurer to pay Board members semi-annually. &lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Authorize the Treasurer to obtain advances on tax settlements form the County Auditor&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Authorize the Treasurer to pay bills, payroll and other obligations within the&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Appropriation Resolution, a monthly report of all payouts provided to the Board.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Authorize the Treasurer to transfer and advance funds from the General fund to State and/or Federal Funds. &lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Authorize the Treasurer to invest active and inactive funds as cash flow permits according to Board policy. &lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Authorize the Superintendent to interview, select and place on duty such personnel in established positions as may be required for the effective operation of the total educational program pursuant to Board Policies.
