REGULAR MEETING

PRESENT WERE: Melodie Adelman, Mike Helmstetter, Sandra Lonz, Robin Reed, Steve Reer

EXECUTIVE SESSION:
  • Moved by Adelman, seconded by Reed to adjourn to executive session for the purpose of discussing pending litigation.
  • Board adjourned to executive session at 7:30 pm and returned to open session at 8:00 pm.

APPROVED:
  • Financial Statements for February 2009
  • Math textbook adoption
  • Anonymous donation of $1,047 to the pre-school activity fund
  • Donations of $420 from Monroeville Music Boosters for the purchase
  • of bass drums and $200 from Monroeville Music Boosters for chairs
  • bought at auction
  • Resolution accepting the amounts and rates as determined by the Budget Commission and authorizing the necessary tax levies and certifying them to the County Auditor.

EMPLOYMENT:
  • Following substitutes: Danielle Johnson & Brittany Pickett
  • Resignation of Jim Middlesworth as assistant girls softball coach
  • Corynne Long as assistant girls softball coach at Step 0
  • Jim Middlesworth as a volunteer for girls softball
  • Continuing contracts for Debbie Smith (pre-school) and Brad Dunlap, starting in September 2009
  • Christine Turner as Production Director Assistant at Step 0
  • Resignation of Teresa Miller as varsity volleyball coach
  • Jenny Lonz Meagrow as Production Director Head at Step 0
  • Zac Reer as Assistant Track Coach at Step 0
  • Changes to the 2009-2010 calendar

DISCUSSION:
  • Canceling the Regular Meeting on April 27 and planning a Special Meeting on April 20 at 7:30 in the Eby Room
  • Jarod’s Law Radon Testing – results were not known at time
  • Decided that Monroeville Board of Education would donate $750.00 to the Hall of Fame Committee
  • Discussion on Music Boosters possible paying for a dinner before the play on Friday or Saturday

ADJOURNMENT:
  • Moved by Reed, seconded by Lonz to adjourn the meeting at 8:21 P.M
