SUPERINTENDENT REPORT:
- Parent-Teacher Conferences are this week
-Friday October 30, 2009 is a 2 hour delayed start - For the catastrophic leave program we need two board-appointed members
- There is a levy hotline on Wednesday October 28th and Thursday October 29th from 7pm to 9pm
- Capital Conference is coming up starting November 8, 2009
- There is a meeting October 30, 2009 at 11 am where they will go over their proposal for a new House Bill 264 project
- We were granted approval by Ohio Department of Education to use $16,000 of ARRA funds to replace windows in Special Education classrooms
- Sidewalk removal
- Principals will be giving a building report at our December board meeting
- Reminder of Work Session on November 11, 2009
APPROVED:- Reschedule December board meeting to December 21, 2009 at 7:30 pm in the Eby
Room - 5th/6th grade boys and girls basketball games/practices to be held on Sundays from November to March (12:00pm to 5:00 pm)
- Contract with Schafer’s Snowplowing for the 2009-2010 school year at the rate of $65.00 per hour
- Accepted donations from the Beauty Vault
- A resolution stating the board’s intention to discontinue the levy of a certain property tax, and not to renew or replace certain other existing property tax levies, if the proposed new 1.50% school district income tax levy is approved by the voters of this school district at the November 3, 2009 election.
- Appoint David Stubblebine, Elise Gray, and Sandy Lonz to Catastrophic Leave Committee
EMPLOYMENT:
- Gerry Lohmann as a tutor (10 hours) for the purpose of meeting the needs of an 8th grade student
- Tabitha Bleile and Meghan Balgude as substitute teachers
- Mike Sweet as part time aide for 4.5 hours per day at the rate of $9.20 per hour
- Susan Kohler as math coach at a rate of $25 per hour not to exceed 200 hours and to be paid out of ARRA Title I Funds
