EXECUTIVE SESSION:
- The board adjourn to executive session for the purpose of discussing pending litigation.
SUPERINTENDENT REPORT:
- Impact of Budget Bill on ODE Assessment:
- Grades 4 and 7 writing and grades 5 and 8 social studies assessments are suspended for two years
- OGT items will not be subject to public release beginning with the spring 2010 OGT administration. In addition, the budget bill calls for development of a new assessment system to replace the current Ohio Graduation Tests with a three-part assessment system
- Nationally standardized assessment (Science, Mathematics and English Language Arts)
- Series of end of course exams (Science, Mathematics, English Language Arts and Social Studies)
- Senior project (student or group of students, assess chosen content and skills)
These three parts will be used to comprise a composite
score for graduation. ODE is working on the details and a timeline for this transition to take place. For the current
year, there is no change to the OGT assessment schedule.

HEARING OF THE PUBLIC:- Tremco Representative did a short presentation on House Bill 264 and potential energy cost savings to the District
- The PTO sought permission to hold the Harlem Wizards fundraiser on Sunday 11/15/09 from 4-6 in the Elementary gymnasium.
APPROVED:
- Agreement with the Wood County Juvenile Detention Center and the Juvenile Residential Center of Northwest Ohio ($55.00 per student per day for Detention and $45.00 per student per day for Residential)
- Special Education Model Policies and Procedures
- Removal of an old condensate tank and the purchase of a new condensate tank from Quality Welding in the amount of $5,392.74
- Attached resolution with Tremco/Weatherproofing Technologies for an energy Conservation Program (HB264)
- Table the Clark Park Memorandum of Agreement between the Monroeville Board of Education and The Village of Monroeville
- Resolution submitting to the electors of the school district question of imposing a 1.50% school district income tax.
EMPLOYMENT:
- Following substitute bus driver for 2009-2010: Stacey Gessling, Joyce DeLuca, Jim Leitz and Bryon Gessling
- Stipend of $2,500 for William Butler for tech. support
- Melissa Allen for summer school reading (24 hours at the rate of $22 per hour)

- Column change for Jennifer Meagrow from BA to MA. Effective 2009-2010 school year.
- Crossing guard hours (Ridge/Broad Sts.) for the 2009-2010 school year: 7:15 am to 8:00 am and 4:40 pm to 3:15 pm
DISCUSSION:
- Discussion was held on House Bill 264.
- Discussed reinstating Grade 10 Physical Education requirement now that have gone back to 8 period day in High School.
- Discussion was held to decide if Tech Coordinator should get extended time starting with the 2010-2011 school year.
